Montessori Lower Elementary

Grade I - III

The Montessori Lower Elementary Program for Grades I to III is guided by the philosophy of Cosmic Education. This unique approach encourages children to understand the “big picture” of life, integrating their learning with a deep appreciation of the natural world, the physical universe, and human civilization. Through this holistic framework, children are exposed to various subjects, such as:

The Montessori environment nurtures a child’s natural curiosity and love for learning by encouraging exploration and discovery. Children are given the freedom to challenge their minds, set ambitious goals, and learn at their own pace. The philosophy emphasizes deep, meaningful learning, allowing time to fully understand and internalize concepts before progressing further. Rather than simply providing answers, Montessori educators inspire students by asking the right questions, guiding them toward self-discovery and independent thinking. This approach fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. By nurturing both academic and personal growth, the Montessori Lower Elementary Program lays a strong foundation for confident, compassionate, and knowledgeable individuals.

Traditionally, a Montessori educational setting allows children to challenge their minds and reach for expansive goals. This philosophy also allows time to internalize a concept before moving on. Elementary-age children are naturally curious. We support their inquisitive nature with a broad curriculum. Instead of giving them the right answers to questions, they may ask, we ask them the right questions, leading them to discover the answers for themselves.
